Pages From My Journal #5

Journal #1 8/27/20 When I get called on by accident it sort of feels like waving back to someone who wasn't waving at you in the first place. Journal #2 8/28/20  Something that I find interesting, but some might not is history. Specifically, ancient civilization history the reason I like history is that learning about the past and how people lived what people did is interesting. Journal #3 9/4/20  When I force a smile I do giggle because it feels awkward and funny so then a natural smile and a natural sense of happiness occurs. (this is weird...)

Pages From My Journal #4

Journal #1 10/12/20 There's a viral virus  and in 2020 the internet has produced memes about how bad this year is. While we have classes online we have been using an online website to talk about our experience in this course and this year through a blog . Journal #2 10/27/20 Everyone wants freedom, but what type of freedom? I really wouldn't want true freedom because true freedom is everyone doing what they want in their free will without consequences and this can allow evil to happen everywhere so I guess we have to take the freedom to do evil and to allow us to have the freedom to do good. Even though evil happens anyway. (Can evil exist without good?) Journal #3 10/30/20 Life is awesome if you make it awesome don't know why people hate or dislike life. Well, it has to do more with the experiences they have in life that people dislike and yes I would agree with there are bad things going on during our lifetime.

Les Mis and The French Revolution

In Les Mis, there was a man who was killed by the guillotine and there as was a guy named Maximilien Robespierre during the French Revolution who would kill or give orders to kill people using the guillotine. The guillotine was made to make death painless and effective. Another thing between Les Mis and the French Revolution which were mass poverty and inequality between classes in society and were one of the causes of the French Revolution.

Les Misérables #14

I see that the bishop never tried to think in a way where he seemed intelligent he just thought philosophically. He says that human meditation has no limits which is true because we can sit and do nothing well think of nothing, listen to music, or just lay down and all would in some way be considered meditating. The bishop is just following God and the word of God and he sees the poverty and the sickness of the people everywhere.

Les Misérables #13

The bishop former self had a different character than the one he has right now. He was very different and time changed him into the bishop and more towards the right way to live. I can't believe the bishop is 75 years old.

Final Reflection For World Literature 2020-2021

This semester was unlike any other, one major thing that was different from this course and the previous courses I had was the blogs. Blogs were really different to me because having to post our thoughts, ideas, classwork, and homework on a website and being graded for our effort was surprising. What I found meaningful was that reading articles that were interesting learning things like what an essay really was and what it was to be an amateur, also having to choose our book to read and learn from the book we chose instead of being forced to choose a book to read or have a limited amount of choices. What I am the proudest of is the "essay" or blog posts because I can actually pour my thoughts and ideas on a blank screen without having to worry about being graded on punctuations, spellings, titles, and all these things we have to get right before we even finish or start to write. I feel like in the past the essays I would be able to write would be longer if my teachers jus

Les Misérables BK 2 #7

We got a better look into Jean Valjean and we read that he actually is full of hatred though he hides. That he changed the moment he stole the loaf of bread and entered prison and kept trying to escape. It's sad to see that Jean had to pay years in prison for stealing a loaf of bread when he can repay it back in hours if he had a job. Though he does accepts that what he did was bad and that he was to blame for he still had hatred brewing. Now we see that he has been building his strength because he was put into prison.
